Produced with the PICO-8 'fantasy console', ZUBGUBBLERS pits four players against one another in a race to dominate the playfield by painting it one's own distinctive color and pattern. Gobble powerups, avoid nefarious powerdowns, and sabotage your opponents to emerge victorious. What's a ZUBGUBBLER, you ask? I don't know!
VOLLEYGON is a raucous 2-on-2 anti-gravity showdown where geometric shapes flying through space take center stage! Utilize the ceiling and floor to bounce, lob, and smash the ball into your opponent's zone! Just be careful as the ball can change gravity on a whim, and so can your opponents!
Produced with the PICO-8 'fantasy console', Kid Orion squeezes a twitchy physics simulation into a retro romp reminiscent of Lunar Lander and Solar Jetman. Working with just 16 colors and a low 128x128 resolution, PICO-8 imposes harsh constraints, making for a game boiled down to its bare essentials!
Produced as my thesis from NYU Tisch's ITP program, Barcode Bots alllows players to seek out and befriend unique pixel-art creatures generated from barcode data. The beta application is avaialble free to download for Android devices.
A sister-app of ArcadeFinder, NearestSubway uses HTML5 Geolocation coupled Google's directions API to guide you to your nearest subway station. Intended for times where a user is unfamilliar (and perhaps feeling unsafe) in a new neighborhood.
Constructed using a Polar heart-rate sensor, Arduino and the Video Experimenter shield, HeartRacer is a prototype for a product that regulates your heart rate for weight loss while watching TV.
